Webinar 20: Energyefficient refurbishment of buildings - Ukrainian experience 23.06.2021 19:04Since 2019, Ukraine has established and operated an Energy Efficiency Fund, funded from the State Budget of
Ukraine, financial support from the EU and the German government. The Energy Efficiency Fund is a government institution developing instruments aimed at improving energy efficiency. For example: “Energodom” is a programme of support for the energy modernisation of multi-family buildings where homeowner’s associations were established (HOA).
The Fund provides support in the form of grants to homeowner’s associations and comprehensive technical
solutions for energy-efficiency modernisations in multi-family buildings in line with the best European practices. Once implemented, these solutions will not only enable multi-family building co-owners to save on their utility bills, but to also increase their standard of living.
Over the past two years practical experience in energy-efficient refurbishment of residential buildings has been
accumulated and will be shared by Anatoly Necheporchuk and Alexander Trufanov, experts in energy efficiency in buildings from Ukraine, who are actively involved in the practical implementation of refurbishment projects.
They will present energy-efficiency refurbishment as a multi-faceted process - the financial capacity of the Fund, the readiness of the customer (HOA) for such projects, what qualifications specialists should have and their functions in the modernisation process, technical requirements for products and equipment - an indicator of the safety and reliability of energy-efficiency modernisation. They will also explain the energy measures and requirements of the Energy Efficiency and verification of the results of energy-efficiency modernisation.
The last day of the webinar will focus on technical issues - energy-saving solutions for heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
